took an interesting ride to xela today, via the infamous camioneta - chicken bus. 45min ride to chimaltenango, 2.5hr to cuatro caminos, 15min to xela, 10min shuttle to parque central. should have been only 2 buses, but its half of the adventure. well, more like a 3hr school bus ride down emory rd. im thinking a rainy three day hike through the highlands, and will be lucky to get a good view of atitlan monday morning.
